The Chamber had the pleasure of Celebrating the Ribbon Cutting for OrgAnnick Beauty on Monday, September 21st!


We are thrilled to welcome this wonderful new business to our community and celebrate the passion, culture, and entrepreneurship behind their growing brand.


Following the ribbon cutting, guests were invited to join in a traditional African Dance of Welcome, dancing and celebrating together as we entered back into the business. What a fun and meaningful way to celebrate this exciting new beginning!


The celebration also featured a delicious charcuterie cart, refreshing drinks, and goodie bags for everyone!

The Chamber was honored to be a part of a ribbon cutting for the Rey Jei Community Foundation in Haines City.


All who attended learned more about their foundation and how to get involved.  They also were able to see several of the student playing soccer and enjoying the nice sunny day. 


During the Ribbon Cutting celebration the Hispanic Empowerment Foundation made a donation to Rey Jei Community Foundation to help them continue their mission.  The soccer program meets at the Langston Avenue Park located in Haines City.

The Chamber was honored to be a part of the City of Davenport's 4th of July Celebration that included a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for their newly renovated Lewis Mathews Sports Complex.  See the recap below from the City of Davenport:


"Some of the best moments of the night came as we honored those behind the names on these fields.


During the ribbon cutting and field dedications at the newly renovated Lewis Mathews Sports Complex, Mayor Donna Fellows-Coffey thanked the families of the honorees and spoke directly about each of them. She noted that Lewis W. Mathews, though a city commissioner for many years, “I believe the greatest impact that he had on our community was through our recreation programs,” and said, “If you played ball in Davenport, you knew Mr. Mathews and he knew you.”


Derwin James Jr. Field honors a man the mayor said is “proof that hard work and talent can take you far,” from Davenport youth football to the NFL, while still “looking forward to hosting his youth camp back here in Davenport.”

Milton “Popeye” Irby Field honors Milton Irby, a local who “invested in the youth and the future of Davenport because that’s the kind of community man he was,” as the mayor described.


Brynn Summerlin Field honors former Mayor Brynn Summerlin, whose “vision as our former mayor helped make this renovation a reality,” and whose “guidance of this city the past several years, both as mayor and as commissioner, has been extraordinary.”


Adair Field honors Ray Adair, who “poured his blood, sweat, tears, time and resources into Adair Field, into Davenport recreation programs and into Davenport’s youth,” and Gene Carroll Field honors Gene Carroll, a “beloved recreational aide here in Davenport with a heart for the community’s youth.”

Kelly Callihan Field honors Kelly Callihan, who as city manager has “led an era of unprecedented smart growth, of expanded programs, of exceptional events, and of not only fiscal responsibility but fiscal stability,” the mayor noted.

These field dedications are more than names on a sign. They’re a lasting tribute to those who made Davenport stronger and the families who stood with us to celebrate them.

The Chamber held a Ribbon Cutting for Ryan Homes Scenic Terrace on Wednesday, November 12th.


Attendees enjoyed refreshments and were able to take a tour of the beautiful model homes.  Ryan Homes is celebrating this new community in Haines City.

The store was full of attendees enjoying the experience of a new freshly painted store.  They were treated to food and drinks along with the extra special Sherwin Williams coffee.
