The Northeast Polk Chamber Ambassadors comprise a dedicated group of chamber members who serve as liaisons between the Chamber and the business community. These Ambassadors play a pivotal role in the Chamber’s recruitment, retention, and engagement initiatives.

 

Purpose:

The Ambassadors primary objective is to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment where both new and existing members feel supported and engaged. Ambassadors actively seek opportunities to connect businesses with resources, answer questions, and facilitate introductions that help members thrive within the Chamber network.

  • Recognition as a Presidential Ambassador at the Chamber's Annual Banquet celebration.

Requirements:

  • Complete the Application/Acknowledgement form.
  • Your business must be a Northeast Polk chamber member in good standing for at least 1 year.
  • Be an upstanding representative of the business community.
  • Complete an interview with the Ambassador Selection Committee.
  • Commit to a (1) one year term as a Chamber Ambassador.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in recruitment of new members through introductions and connections to Chamber staff.
  • Attend and volunteer at Chamber events, including ribbon-cutting ceremonies (minimum of 20 events per year).
  • Promote the Chamber and its programs to the Northeast Polk business community.
  • Wear the Northeast Polk Chamber nametag at events and visits while representing the organization.
  • Conduct visits or calls to members to ensure accurate contact information, address any questions or concerns, and verify their needs as chamber members are being met.
  • Support Northeast Polk Chamber social media posts through likes, comments, and shares. This engagement helps welcome new members, boosts visibility, and strengthens the overall sense of community.
  • Complete confidentiality regarding privileged or sensitive information while serving as an Ambassador.
