Mahalak Auto Group Goes Solar, Partners with ESA to Invest in New Clean Energy Technology!

Winter Haven, FL – The Low Payment Kings powered by Mahalak Auto Group has announced a major commitment to sustainability by going solar at their Dodge Chrysler Jeep RAM of Winter Haven, Posner Park Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram FIAT, and Lake Wales Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealerships. The company has partnered with ESA to invest in new rooftop and ground mount solar panel arrays that will be installed at these three dealerships.

Polk County’s Indigent Health Care program has issued a Request For Applications (RFA) to healthcare-related, non-profit organizations who are interested in receiving Community Partner Grant funding to provide healthcare services to qualified Polk County residents.

Winter Haven Hospitals Welcome New President - BayCare has selected Tom Garthwaite as the president of Winter Haven and Winter Haven Women’s Hospitals. Garthwaite, who has been interim president since Jan. 2, is a BayCare veteran who most recently served as president of St. Joseph’s Hospital-North in Lutz since 2020. East Area Adult School is still providing GED and English classes in the county! West Area Adult School moved to Traviss Technical College in Lakeland, but is also providing classes at the previous adult school campus on S. Central Ave., and also in Ft. Meade.  East Area Adult School moved to Ridge Technical College campus in Winter Haven, where they have morning, evening, and online classes. Winter Haven Hospital Expands Center for Behavioral Health - This year, the center added space, to be known as the Annex, to house some of its outpatient services. The Annex, located at 1501 First St. S., is on the southwest corner of the intersection of Ave. O and First St., across the street from the CBH and across from Winter Haven Women’s Hospital.

AdventHealth’s West Florida Division and United Surgical Partners International (USPI) today announced the recent acquisition of “Davenport Surgery Center” through their previously established joint venture and new partnership with Polk-county based physicians. Restoration Control has been in Orlando for 8 years, but they are new to the Polk County area.  Restoration Control helps communities to effectively place claims before insurance, in case they have roof damage caused by a hurricane, wind, rain and water damage in bathroom, kitchen, etc., but in reality it can be more damage.
