March 2023 SPOTLIGHT - imagineDavenport, FL - Imagine is a specialized destination marketing agency that serves attractions and localities in the U.S. and abroad. We work with local governments, CVBs, breweries, parks and more to increase tourism, economic development and ultimately, help communities prosper.
That’s the more technical, boring version. The less boring version is that back in 2004, a guy decided to build a marketing agency that focused on staying accountable, providing results as well as educating clients, and bringing people on board that felt the same with unbridled curiosity of how to make a marketing agency better. That appears to have worked so far. Our agency provides market research, planning, branding, digital outreach (social, search, email, etc.), web development and marketing consulting. You can find examples of our past work at https://imaginedc.net/marketing-campaigns/. We’ve also been told that we have a unique way of looking at branding and marketing. Our blog has hundreds of articles, some may be a cure for insomnia but there are a few gems in there. Check them out at https://imaginedc.net/blog/. We’re also looking forward to contributing to our new community, currently looking for opportunities to volunteer and offer pro bono help to promote local nonprofits. We’re pumped to see you in person but until then, check us out at https://imaginedc.net. |

It is about the lives of Edith Ewing Bouvier Beale, “Big Edie”, played by Davenport resident Staci Morin, and her daughter Edith Bouvier Beale, “Little Edie”, played by Megan Michals. The Beales were Jacqueline Kennedy’s aunt and cousin, respectively. Set at Grey Gardens, the Bouviers’; mansion in East Hampton, New York, the musical tracks the progression of the two women’s lives from their original status as rich and socially polished aristocrats to their eventual largely isolated existence in a home overrun by cats and cited for repeated health code violations. SEPTEMBER 2022 SPOTLIGHT -Foresight Financial planners, inc.Polk County, FL - Retiring Minds Want to Know
Will the money I have saved for the best years of my life be enough? That depends. Enough for what? Enough for basic needs like a place to live, food to eat, utilities? Retirement is about living, and to put a number on “enough,” you need to imagine how you want to live. For most retirees today, that’s vastly different than their parents’ retirement years.
The length of retirement has changed as well. Because of advances in health people are living longer than ever before. With longer, fuller lives come a necessity to plan for more retirement income. How long will you need income? As of 2017, the average life expectancy in the U.S. is 78.6 years. Thus, people enjoy longer lives. So how do you get enough? You start by imagining everything you want to do in retirement. You prioritize those dreams, and you plan how to allocate your financial resources, so the next phase of your life is all about living it. Let us help you take that first step. At Foresight Financial Planners, Inc. we use a process called NextPhase™ and our goal is to help you live your best years with a clear understanding of your retirement plan. Go to our website, www.foresightfp.com to watch a short video on the importance of your withdrawals and the impact of returns. For more information call us at 407-541-6052. July 2022 SPOTLIGHT - Home1st Lending, Llc - Jenny Pritchett, NMLS#325870
Polk County, FL - Home1st Lending has been in business since 2005, and we didn’t just survive “The Mortgage Meltdown. We Thrived.” Home1st Lending understands that mortgage lending is not a “one size fits all.” Our CEO has extensive experience in the financial industry, starting her financial career at the world-renowned Lloyd’s of London in New York City over 25 years ago, and still holding her securities license. Theresa has been running our day-to-day operations since our inception.
We are not your average “broker shop.” Home1st is a preferred partner with the top national lenders. While most brokers have relationships with 3-5 lenders, we maintain relations with over 50. This is important because this truly makes us a one-stop shop. We shop your loan, so you don’t have to – saving you both time and money.
My name is Jenny Pritchett, and I am proud to serve as your local Home 1st Lending Senior Loan Officer. APRIL 2022 SPOTLIGHT - Heart of florida chiropractic, inc.Haines City, FL - April 2, 2022 marks 10 years for Heart of Florida Chiropractic, Inc. Drs. Douglas C. Gagnon, Jr. and Carys Felton serve the Northeast Polk Community and provide chiropractic care for its residents. Carys Felton, DC graduated from Life University in Marietta, Georgia, and Douglas C. Gagnon, Jr., DC graduated from Palmer Chiropractic College in Port Orange, Florida. Having graduated from two different chiropractic schools has allowed Heart of Florida Chiropractic to take a unique collaborative approach to patient care. During the past 10 years, they have seen their practice and family grow. Since opening Heart of Florida Chiropractic in 2012, they got married in 2013 and welcomed their two children, Mia in 2015 and Davis in 2018, all while building their business.
At Heart of Florida Chiropractic, they are passionate about improving the quality of life for their patients. Chiropractic is a healthcare profession with a focus on the spine and the other joints throughout the body and the connection to the nervous system. By adjusting subluxations, or misalignments, using a variety of gentle techniques, chiropractors are able to restore joint function and support the nervous system with a goal of promoting optimal health and well-being. On any given day, they can go from seeing a pregnant patient to a newborn baby, a high school athlete to a senior citizen, and everything in between. The office offers a variety of adjusting styles to best meet their patient’s needs including: Thompson Drop, Diversified, and Upper Cervical Toggle Recoil Technique. Thompson Drop utilizes a table with specialized parts that move. The Diversified technique addresses the full spine with manual hands-on adjusting, and the Upper Cervical Toggle Recoil Technique focuses on the top two bones in the spine. In addition to those techniques, collectively known as the Palmer Package Techniques, both doctors maintain their Advanced Proficiency Rating through ongoing continuing education with Activator Methods. The Activator Technique is a gentle adjusting technique that utilizes a hand held adjusting instrument and is a great low-force chiropractic technique for patients of all ages. Both Chiropractors are also certified in the Webster Technique through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). The Webster Technique helps bring balance to the pelvis and is particularly beneficial during pregnancy by reducing the effects of the sacral subluxation and dysfunction and improving the neuro-biomechanical function of the pelvis. Dr. Gagnon has also recently completed additional perinatal continuing education through the ICPA and will be wrapping up the testing component soon and hopes to have his Perinatal Certification in the next few months. Both Chiropractors have enjoyed being active participants in the Chamber of Commerce and Northeast Polk County Community since opening Heart of Florida Chiropractic and Dr. Carys Felton has welcomed the opportunity to serve on the Chamber Board of Directors as well. Service and community involvement has always been important to Heart of Florida Chiropractic. In addition to the Chamber, they both serve on the Massage Therapy Advisory Committee at Ridge Technical College, where Dr. Felton is the current chairperson. Dr. Felton is also wrapping up her term as the President of the Inner Wheel Club of Haines City and is looking forward to stepping into the role of Inner Wheel Foundation Coordinator for both the Haines City Club and their District. Over the years they have served in numerous capacities volunteering for the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life event. They also regularly support the Polk Education Foundation, the Hearth Project, and Turtle Will Triumph through various fundraisers throughout the year. They even participated in Stepping Out For Education, the Polk Education Foundation’s ‘Dancing With the Stars’ style fundraiser, in 2019. In addition to celebrating 10 years at Heart of Florida Chiropractic this April, in August of this year, Dr. Gagnon will be celebrating 10 years as an adjunct professor at Polk State College where he enjoys teaching Anatomy & Physiology, Wellness Concepts and Wellness: Nutrition, Personal Growth & Fitness. March 2022 SPOTLIGHT - MJ Renovation
Polk & Osceola County, FL - Back in 2019, the owners of MJ Renovation started a side business buying, fixing, and selling houses. During this time, the two were both working full time in their professions, but friends and family members continued asking for their home repair services. That is when they discovered there was a niche for a home repair business among their own friends and family members.
After a financial analysis, the owners of MJ Renovation realized it was a good opportunity to start an official business. In 2019, MJ Renovation was officially created. It is a company that provides renovation services, such as flooring installation, painting, kitchen and bathroom remodeling, and more. These services help to transform homes in our community, while offering reasonable prices and the same high-quality service as the big companies. MJ Renovation started out as a part time company, working only on weekends and holidays. But demand was massive, so they dove into the opportunity to become a full time business.
MJ Renovation’s goal is to make your house a home! Visit their website at www.mjrenov.com. You can also contact them at 407-310-1975 or sales@mjrenov.com.
